Abhyanga (Sanskrit: अभ्यंग "oil massage") is a form of Ayurvedic medicine that involves massage of the body with warm oil. Sneha means Love. Abhyanga Snehana is a Self Care Oil Massage that can be done as part of a stress-relieving therapy. Through this therapeutic massage you will experience a profound sense of calm and connection to your inner being. In this experiential workshop, you will learn through practice:
Day of: $40 at door Bring a sleeveless shirt, shorts or pants that can be rolled-up, socks and a medium-large size towel that you won’t mind getting a bit oily. Maritza will provide the oils, cups and paper towels for each participant. Participants will also receive a written summary of the workshop plus suggested guidelines on how to continue the practice at home. The workshop includes presentation and discussion, along with a full Abhyanga practice.

All fitness levels, ages, body types and abilities are welcome! What to expect: In the first hour we'll discuss and move through the basic concepts and principles of Nia. Then, experience a beginner-level Nia class that puts it all together. In Nia classes, we start from a place of pleasure and feeling good. We dance, we kick, we execute punches and blocks, and we laugh -- a lot. In doing this, we become more connected to our flexibility, strength and mobility, increasing our level of agility and improving our sense of stability. With regular practice, you'll experience an increase in stamina and have more energy. So, are you ready to love your fitness routine? Come and be rejuvenated, invigorated, and inspired to explore a heart-full path to creating more dynamic balance in your life!
