3/27/2018

Experience your birthright as a force of nature expressing beauty, grace, confidence and power.

Join Move2Center's own Ann Nicolaysen on Saturday, April 28th for Dance of the Deep Feminine, a evening of purposeful movement meditation.

What is the Dance? Originating in tantric traditions, this is a moving meditation that opens the portal to explore our deepest Feminine essence. It teaches women to move from their center and their womb (or womb space).

From Ann: "As women, we hold a universal truth that cannot be understood through the mind. To embody your feminine wisdom it must be awakened through your womb as a second 'brain'. Tapping into the mysterious fluid rhythms of your unique feminine essence, this movement allows for an effortless flow of energy leaving you feeling more sensuous, youthful, and more alive."

When: 6-9:30 pm on Saturday, April 28
Location:  Move2Center Studio
3618 SW Alaska Street Seattle,WA 98126
(entrance is on 37th Ave SW)

Fee: $60

Please RSVP: Ann Nicolaysen at ann.nicolaysen@gmail.com or 206 963-9479

Welcome Spring with Jason Alan Griffin!

Winter officially ends on March 20! To celebrate the start of Spring, Move2Center Studio is welcoming back our friend Jason Alan Griffin to share his new collaborative routine Blue Earth.

He'll be Melanie's guest on Wednesday, March 21 at 6:30p.m. Those who dance with Jason know that he balances a fiery energy with a light playfulness, and his creativity is incredible.

Here's an excerpt of from his blog post describing Blue Earth:

"The Blue Earth routine was created as a very special project initiated by JAG in July of 2017. His idea was to enlist Nia teachers from all over the globe to collaborate via electronic media on a brand new routine. Using mostly Facebook and Dropbox, JAG, in Seattle, worked together with about a dozen teachers from as nearby as Portland, OR and as far away as New Zealand. Together they compiled a playlist and shared choreography ideas over video until, after several months, they co-created a wonderful routine.

The focus of the routine is on The Base and the intent is to bring Stability to our movements by touching the Earth. "

"...Students are saying that they love the routine and really appreciate all of the opportunities to settle into stability through focusing on the Base: the Lower Extremities. And while the focus on Stability offers an opportunity to self-heal, there is also great opportunity for a good work-out. This routine leaves students with an open, expansive feeling."

5 Class Passes and unlimited memberships can be used for this special class. Drop in is $18 plus tax.
