Melanie McFarland

First Degree Black Belt Instructor, Nia Technique

In 2008, Melanie stepped into her first Nia class. Her virgin voyage with Nia was a rocky one; she felt awkward and couldn't execute a single turn. Today she's a certified Nia Black Belt instructor with additional training in Nia 5 Stages and 52 Moves. As a full time writer, she loves helping people get to know and love their bodies as they are, while tapping into their inner power and appreciating what is possible.
Dance with her Mondays and Wednes
days at 6:30pm, Fridays at 8:15am,  and Sundays at 10:30am.

Ann Nicolaysen

Black Belt Instructor, Nia Technique

For more than thirty years Ann’s path and passion has been, and continues to be, an exploration of the magnificent human form. This comes from her love of the performing arts and the healing arts. She began her journey as an aerobics/fitness instructor, then received a BFA in acting from Cornish College of The Arts, and went on to discover a rewarding twenty plus year path as a massage and craniosacral therapist specializing in connective tissue therapies.
Dance with her Mondays and Wednesdays at 8:15am,  and Saturdays at 9am.

Susan Westlund

Yoga Instructor, Hatha

Although Susan was introduced to yoga as a teenager, she didn’t fall in love with the practice until she was in her 50s when she decided to try a free class with a teacher half her age. The younger woman kicked off her high heels and led the class that night to a loving connection with their bodies, hearts and minds. Susan was hooked.

While working as an educational consultant in Boston, MA, she trained with yoga luminary Barbara Benagh in a 15-month program to earn her 500 hour certification as a yoga instructor. She has been teaching ever since. Her yoga practice continues to make her healthier, centered and more curious about life.

Betsy Snyder
Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner,
Awareness Through Movement Instructor

Betsy has been involved in movement and healing arts for nearly two decades. While her practice mostly focuses on the Feldenkrais Method, she also employs other techniques she has studied, like Focusing, Yoga, and Energetic Healing, to support clients in finding a place of balance, confidence, peace, and well being.

Betsy is a dedicated student of the way we can use movement, energy, and intention to heal the body, mind and spirit. She is currently working toward her Qi Gong teaching certification. Betsy has enjoyed the art of Nia for many years, and understands the value of an intuitive practice informed by multiple disciplines.
