Move2Center is pleased to welcome certified shamanic practitioner Eryn DeFoort to lead us in an hour of meditation every Thursday at 1 p.m. beginning on April 30.
Cultivating a meditation practice is essential for maintaining our well-being, especially in these trying times. By scheduling it as a lunchtime offering, Eryn is offering us the invitation to pause our work day and increase our happy hormones as she leads us through beautiful guided imagery and breath work.
Very easy for beginners, guided imagery trains us to gently move our attention away from the hamster wheel of anxiety and overthinking. It also teaches us to move tension out of the body so we can feel refreshed for the rest of the day. The intent with this practice is to calm the nervous system and increase the brain’s natural mood boosters, like dopamine and serotonin.
Each hour begins with creating a shared intention, followed by the guided meditation portion lasting for between 20 and 30 minutes.
At approximately 1:40pm you will be invited to share any experiences, questions or insights with the group.
